Overall Objective
This work continues from PR #86.
Since pre-existing work is available on the branch feat/home-page-recommendations, please continue from that branch! In addition, please check the comments on PR #86
The current code treats gender housing as a one-point preference. This means an incompatible building can still appear in a student’s recommendations(mens only will show scobell, womens only can show co-ed).
This issue creates the eligibility filter only.
Suggested Approach
Review the existing work in:
apps/frontend/src/data/preferences.ts
apps/frontend/src/data/scoring.ts
apps/frontend/src/data/buildingTypes.ts
Continue from feat/home-page-recommendations
Create a filter function that should return only buildings the
user is eligible for.
By the end, this issue should meet the requirements that:
No gender answer keeps every building.
Incompatible gender-restricted buildings are removed.
Building names + IDs cannot be hard-coded.
