We want to be able to edit any earlier message and resend it, keep the previous version, and switch between versions with arrows under the message, with the rest of the conversation following whichever version is selected, the way ChatGPT does. Shared chats should show the selected version.

You can't edit a message you've already sent, resend it, and compare the new answer with the old one. Messages are stored as one flat list per chat, so there's currently nowhere to keep two answers to the same question.
