What's wrong
The calendar on /explore only shows events after you have visited the home page first. Opening /explore directly (or refreshing it) shows an empty calendar, and toggling categories on Explore does not update it.

How to reproduce

  1. Sign in and open https://cmucal.com/explore directly, or refresh while on it.
  2. The calendar on the right has no events.
  3. Go to /, then back to /explore: the events appear.

Expected
Explore's calendar shows your schedule however you arrive there, and reacts to category toggles.

Where to look

  • web/src/app/page.tsx: the effect that builds calendarEvents (it runs only on the home page) and calls setCalendarEvents.
  • web/src/app/explore/page.tsx: only reads calendarEvents from useEventState().
  • web/src/context/EventStateContext.tsx: where calendarEvents lives.

Done when

  • The calendar-building logic lives somewhere both pages use (a hook or the context), not only in the home page
  • /explore shows the same calendar on a direct load and after navigation
  • Category toggles update the calendar on both pages
